Seoul Forest

First post in 2013! Once again, it’s gonna be a photo post. This time I went to a place called the Seoul Forest, which is probably akin to New York’s central park, though probably not as large. Curiously, I have never stumbled upon any mention about this place in any of Seoul’s tourism guide that I read before. Probably because this place is purely a recreational park, and probably isn’t much attraction for tourists. Nevertheless, I had fun exploring the forest. Although winter time robs it of its foliages, the view of a park covered in snow stretches on and on, giving a breathtaking spectacle to behold.

Seems like playground for kids in Korea is commonplace. I wish they build more of them in Indonesia, so kids have alternative recreational activities instead of simply being holed up in the house playing video games or go to the malls.

They have deers!DSCN1503 DSCN1505From a map I found, it seems that there’s a 8 km trekking route from here to the top of Namsan tower, which takes roughly 3 hours. Will probably try it in spring😀
