One of the best part of attending a lab in a developed country is that you’re given a project straight from the industry from time to time. Unlike when I was in undergraduate where sometimes I think the research is rarely ever relevant to the actual industry (sorry but I just have to say this), last time I got some huge project that’s actually related to base station design here in Korea.
So there you have it. The industry and academic world should work in synergy, complementing each other. Having a taste of real project from the industry actually makes you appreciate more about your field of study.
